The guy who said he was '30 yrs old with money to burn in his pocket' and said the 'big guy' told him I don't think so when he tried to buy a gun is the one who has it WRONG. The 'big guy' has amazing people skills and great perception and did us all a favor by not letting this arrogant piece of crap buy a gun in his store. I've known the 'big guy' for over 20 years and I thank him for protecting us from idiots who shouldn't 'bear arms'. I'm glad he told his friends to stay away and I hope he does to - from ALL gun shops. Thanks, Big Guy, you're doing God's work.

I have been a resident of Covington for 10 years. I grew up on the coast of washington and I still have some home town values. I walked into Bear Arms and looked at the selection of guns offered.I asked the large man behind the counter if I could look at a gun he had just shown to another customer. At the time I was a young looking 30 year old with a great job and a pocket full of money burning a hole in my pocket. He looked at me and said I Quote I don't think so I was soo mad I have not been back. I also have friends who have had similar experience with this shop. Stay Away.

Our National Guard unit was sending a small number of troops to Iraq and one leg of their flight required commercial air travel. In accordance with TSA rules any weapons that were to be transported, were to be inside a hard case locked with two padlocks locks. As a supply sergeant I needed to get these cases immediately and the closest shop was Bear Arms. The employees were not so friendly nor welcoming, on top of that as the cases were being rung up, as this was a government purchase on a government purchase card they refused to make the purchase tax exempt! Uncle Sam is collecting enough from me, why should I cut you a break? That was the response I got! But due to the nature of the situation I gave in anyway. SHAME ON YOU BEAR ARMS! SHAME ON YOU FOR NOT SUPPORTING OUR YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN FIGHTING SO YOU CAN DO WHAT YOU DO!

Inventory is well stocked, the staff are friendly , well versed on their products, and extremely helpful. The shop is always clean. Whether I made a purchase or not, the folks there have served me well and met my needs.
