Great Brunch Spot
My husband and I have been hearing about this place so we decided to give it a try, and we were not disappointed. The brunch was amazing! We have sense been back several times and have taken out of town guests who shared our sentiments. The wait staff is always friendly. We have been for dinner as well and wasn’t as thrilled, we enjoy the brunch menu a lot more. The price is a little high for 2 people if you get a Mimosa or Bloody Mary, but it’s worth the splurge!

Pretty decent Sunday lunch.
I was not blown away, but it was a nice meal.

I had a crab cake with some roasted potatoes which was very nice. My wife had the cheese burger and tells me that "the meat was very juicy and the veg was perfect. The fries were nicely seasoned".

I will go out again to try the full menu. I really hope to be blown away! Please don't let me down again Seattle!

Good Northwest fusion food
I have been to the Dahlia Lounge many times and on every occasion, I have absolutely loved the appetizers. They are always impeccably crafted and delicious food pairings.

I always enjoy the main courses but not always as much as the first course. Their beverages are good and my friends liked the wine chosen by the waiter.

Dessert is also a good choice, with many tempting offerings. The creme carmel is quite nice and one friend of mine loves the coconut creme pie. The donuts are my least favorite, but hey, someone probably loves them.

The service has always been very friendly and tasteful, and they have offered to take back choices if I didn't like them. The prices are just what I would expect for an upscale, elegant restaurant, but obviously they're not cheap.

Very "good" but not "GREAT"
We came to Seattle on a weekend visit from Portland. We decided to have dinner at the Dahlia Lounge based on it's reputation.

We each had the "Special" of the evening which was a New York Steak.

The meal was "Good" to be sure, but I wasnt at all "Amazed".

I had Oysters as an appetizer and I was a little unimpressed. The Steaks were Good to be sure, but not any better than other restaurants that serve New Yorks.

My wife didnt like the mashed potatoes that came with the steak. They were green due to being whipped with herbs of some sort. Almost like they were trying a little too hard to be creative (I thought they were ok).

I would recommend this restaurant, but I think the expectations should be lowered a bit. For a celebrity Chef, this is NOT what I'd expect.....I was expecting to be blown away.

In short, this is a very good restaurant but not "GREAT".....

The definition of mediocrity
My girlfriend and I live a few blocks away from the restaurant and decided to try it out. We had avoided it in the past because of the expensive prices but decided to treat ourselves. Don't make the same mistake we did! Save yourself some money and get a decent meal. There was nothing special about this place. Neither the food nor the service warrant the outrageous prices. We will not be dining there again.
