My father was admitted for end stage liver disease. Our whole family has received great care and concern from the faculy at Hallmark. My mother did not want to leave my father alone so they put a bed in his room for her to stay. They made sure that she was eating and caring for herself so that she would stay strong. The staff has gone over and above in their service!!!

My wife and I toured the manor today and found it to be very clean. All of the residents seemed happy and we did not smell any smoke or urine. The cordinator was very helpfur and I will be happy to give a follow up on the care. He will be there for at least six weeks, the food smelled good and the grounds were well keeped. The corrdinator asked about DNR and we signed documents on his will.‎

What good can I say about this piece of shit place. The outside looks great which means they take better care of the landscape than they do of actual real human beings. When you first walk into the lovely "Hallmark Manor" don't be deceived by the lobby. The appearance of the lobby it's like that saying don't judge a book by its cover. Don't judge this place by its outside appearance. As you walk down the hallway your guide by two smells. First smell is that of cigarettes and the second smell is that of urine. Now I'm no super genius but cigarette smoking in a nursing home seems well, somewhat wrong. When I asked about the cigarette smoke I was told "what cigarette smell", and then a replied" if you want to smoke so bad than you need to step outside". Really, because I am a non smoker and that wonderful smell has just made me want to step outside and puff, puff my lungs away. To the urine smell, yes, I know that this is a nursing home ...

Our family had looked at the ratings for assisted living for my mother Jeri Dickinson, because of the rating of Hallmark Manor this was the place that was choose. BIG WRONG MOVE. We have sense learned from this. You must go there first and really look into a place and most important ask the people that live in the facility if it is any good. My poor mother never got proper care by the time we got her out of Hallmark Manor, she had a infection through-out her body. They put a cathdore in her, we wondered why, because when she went in there she could go to the bathroom on her own, she walked on her own before she went in that place, while she was in there she could not walk and felt very uncomfortable with the cathadore in. She was so depressed, I wish she never went in that horriiable place. She is back home We took her to the doctors got her on antibiotics had the cathdore removed she is now walking again going to the bathroom again and she is back to herself. Even the doctor said why the heck did she have a cathdore in? None of us could answer that. My younger sister and I were not getting along at the time. She flew in from alaska, She told them when shes there visiting my mom she did not want me there at the same time. Hallmark took it upon themselves to try and block me from seeing my own mother they would not put calls from me to my mothers room,, I asked for the person in charge and I was hung up on, I told them they needed to check her and make sure she had no infection they told me I could not talk to my mother they would not discuse anything with me they just hung up on me. There is no court papers that say I can not see or talk to my mother and never will be. Of corse that did not work I was up seeing my mother all the time, What kind of sick place is this? There is so much more to tell about this place. Then they threatened to take away her Social Security because they did not discharge her. She discharged herself! They deserve no star.
