My husband and I stayed one night as a short, romantic getaway. The hotel could not have been better. We had a package that included parking, breakfast, chocolate and champagne, and late check out. I felt welcomed and pampered from the ...‎

going downhill, try out some of its newer competition.
Oliver's is completely over-rated for many reasons. With its age and the increasing competition it is not the same it used to be. The only thing it has going for it is the free happy hour snacks. The food is terrible unless Andaluca happens to be open while you are there you can order off of that menu (pretty good, but overpriced). The specialty drinks are extremely outdated and I have seen other customers complain about them becasuse they are gross and the classics are made incorrectly. The bartenders are very inexperienced as I don't believe any of them have any prior experience judging from their technique and product knowledge. They claim to make the best martini in Seattle, when a martini is more than just overly shaken gin or vodka served in a big warm glass. One of the bartenders I believe his name was Patrick is extremely annoying and irritating, when I met him it was the last time I will go. Go to Zig Zag or one of the many other bars that cares obout your business.

A bit out of date but we stayed at the Mayflower Park Hotel on two separate occassions during August 2008. We stayed here on our first and last nights of our three week holiday and both times this hotel was excellent! ...‎

This is an older hotel so the rooms are not large. Bathroom was a little on the small side, as was the TV. Overall though, we really enjoyed our stay at the Mayflower. The bed in our room was very comfortable -- better than your ...‎
